At a United Utilities site in Manchester, we repaired a penstock door serving the storm overflow tanks. The existing doors had seized completely due to severe rusting, rendering them inoperable.
We replaced the old units with new A2 stainless steel components, specifically chosen to withstand the harsh conditions caused by prolonged exposure to sewage — the primary cause of corrosion in the original penstocks.
